Admissions and Enrolment

Q: How can I enrol my young adult?

Enrolment is a collaborative process involving both families and Social Services. Please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Social Services: Speak with your allocated social worker to discuss your young adult’s needs and request a referral to our centre.
  2. Get in Touch with Us: Once referred, contact us by phone or email to arrange a consultation.
  3. Initial Assessment and Tour: Visit our centre for an assessment and guided tour, where we’ll discuss how we can support your young adult.
  4. Complete the Application: With input from Social Services, fill out the enrolment form and submit the necessary documents.
  5. Develop a Personalised Care Plan: Collaborate with our team and Social Services to create a tailored care plan that meets your young adult’s specific needs.

Q: What documents are required for enrolment?
You’ll need to provide the following:

  • A completed application form
  • Medical records or reports detailing any disabilities or complex needs
  • Emergency contact information
  • Any relevant care plans or assessments from Social Services (if applicable)

Q: Are there specific criteria for enrolment?
We support individuals with moderate, severe, or profound learning disabilities, as well as those with complex needs. Each application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, in collaboration with Social Services, to ensure we can provide the appropriate level of care and support.

Q: Can I enrol mid-year?
Yes, we accept applications throughout the year, subject to availability, and with input from Social Services to ensure the process is smooth and well-supported.

Q: Is there a waiting list?
There may be a waiting list depending on current demand. Please contact us for the most up-to-date information on availability, and Social Services can assist with any questions or concerns.

Q: Can you accommodate individuals with challenging behaviours?
Yes, our team is highly experienced in supporting individuals with challenging behaviours. In partnership with Social Services, we develop personalised care plans and create a nurturing environment to meet each individual’s unique needs.

Q: How much do your services cost?
The cost of our services is determined by the level of support required and the programme selected. As the payment is arranged through Social Services and government funding, please contact us for a detailed breakdown, and we will work with you and Social Services to ensure the most appropriate options are chosen for your needs.

Q: Do you accept government funding or grants?
Yes, we accept funding from:

  • Local authority direct payments
  • Other relevant government funding schemes, as arranged through Social Services

Q: Are there any hidden costs?
No, we provide a clear and transparent breakdown of all fees upfront. Any additional services, such as transportation or special outings, will be clearly communicated. As payment is managed through Social Services and government funding, they will also work with you to ensure all funding and services are fully accounted for.

Daily Operations
Q: What are your hours of operation?
We operate Monday to Friday, from 9:30 AM to 5.30 PM.
Q: Do you provide transportation?
Yes, we offer transportation services to and from the centre within a specific radius. Please inquire about availability and costs.
Q: What happens on holidays?
The centre is closed on public holidays. We communicate our holiday schedule well in advance.
Q: Can family members visit during the day?
Yes, we welcome visits from family members. Please arrange visits in advance to minimise disruptions to scheduled activities.
Q: How do you handle emergencies?
Our staff are trained to respond to emergencies and follows a robust protocol, including immediate notification of families and collaboration with emergency services when necessary.
